The Sunday Café – contact Becky Turner

Lesley Hugo and her team ran a very successful Sunday morning café for a number of years. We would like to reinstate the café and ask our Youth parents and families to support this. Duties will include making and serving hot snacks – bacon and sausage rolls and serving teas and coffees.

Lesley ran the café week in, week out - however you might like to join a team and have a rota or split the shifts. Ideally the café should be open 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Commitment could be from a few hours a month to a few hours a week. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the members and families in the club.

The café generates income for the club – we are able to use this income to reinvest in the youth section – parties, new equipment and prizes.

Youth Matches Teas Coordinators – contact Becky Turner

The teas will be prepared and left in the kitchen. We are looking for volunteers to serve the teas, provide hot drinks for the spectators and to clear up at the end.

Ideally two representatives from each age group and level.

Food Shopping/Bar Shopping – contact Becky Turner

Have you got a few hours on a Thursday or Friday to go to Bookers or another suitable supermarket to purchase the food for the club teas?

You will be provided with a shopping list prepared by our catering manager (she is always happy to receive ideas for simple teas). Having been to Bookers or for smaller orders collected a supermarket shop you will be required to drop the food off in the kitchen and put it away in the fridges and cupboards.

We are open to doing a monthly/3 weekly big shop and top up from Supermarket or a weekly Bookers shop. Whatever suits you.

This role could be shared with a few volunteers on a rota basis.

Club House Coordinator – contact Fiona Coope

We only have access to the Club House when we are using the pitches - during the college day it is used by Oaklands.

We are looking for someone who will work with our Comms Manager, Fiona Coope and liaise with Oaklands management to ensure that the Club House looks welcoming to members and guests and information is kept up to date and just generally some ideas to make it look like a club house that people want to visit and spend time in.

Initially this role will require someone to focus on the clubhouse and set up and then it will become more of a maintenance role.

Please contact the CEO Becky Turner or the relevant person if you're interested in volunteering.
