  2. England Hockey’s new guidance is aimed at senior coaches/captains and parents and highlights a number of topics such as over training, willingness to play, playing positions, and parent pressure.

  4. The app is a popular communication tool used in hockey. This England Hockey guidance highlights the dos and don'ts for safe and effective use.

  6. Positive images of young people enjoying hockey are essential to promote the sport and a healthy lifestyle. Parents/carers want to celebrate the achievements of their children through photographs and recorded images. Use of recorded images can also be a valuable coaching aid. England Hockey is committed to providing a safe environment for all young people and it is therefore committed to ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to protect young people from the inappropriate or uninformed use of their images in resources and media publications, on the internet, and elsewhere.

England Hockey is committed to ensuring everyone within the hockey family, irrespective of their age, gender, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, colour nationality, social status or sexual orientation, have an equal opportunity to participate in hockey at all levels and in all roles.England Hockey's Equality Policy is aimed at all those actively involved in any aspect of hockey activities, whether that be as an employee, volunteer, member or participant.

  20. St Albans Hockey Club has adopted the Codes of Conduct set out in the England Hockey Code of Ethics and Behaviour - Respect. This outlines the expected levels of behaviour for everyone involved in hockey. Although EH is responsible for setting standards, each member of the hockey family has a responsibility to ensure equal access and opportunity for all. Details of how to report breaches of the code can be found on pages 20-21 in the full RESPECT document.
