SAHC Child Protection Information

St Albans HC follows the guidelines for Good Practice established by England Hockey. Every Youth Coach and Team Manager has been through the DBS checking procedure. Please confirm that you agree to the below:

  • I agree that I am happy to receive, by email, Club communications, which may contain details of relevant Club events as well as training and fixtures information
  • I agree to my child taking part in Club activities and that all reasonable care will be taken of my child whilst on Club premises and that, on training sessions or whilst my child is engaged in a match, then the designated coach or manager is acting in loco parentis
  • I authorise the designated coach/manager to approve such medical treatment as is deemed necessary in an emergency on the advice of a qualified medical practitioner, including giving anaesthetic and/or a blood transfusion, but only when every effort has been made to contact myself or a person designated by myself
  • I agree that my child, while attending weekday training sessions at the Club, must sign both in and out with the coaches or managers, and I will be responsible for their safe collection, either by myself or a person designated by myself
  • I agree that I and my child shall be bound by the England Hockey Parent and Player Codes of Ethics and Behaviour, copies of which can be found on our website and on the England Hockey website
  • I agree that my child’s relevant details may be placed on the “Fixtures Live” database for authorised Club purposes (only relevant for U14/16/18s or Juniors playing Senior hockey)
  • I agree to indemnify any Club registered manager/coach/adult member against any claim against the member by a third party or any loss to the member, directly or indirectly arising out of any fault of my child
