Welcome to St Albans Hockey Club Site!

Following the trials and tribulations of last year we are on the uppers again. The ladies first team are flying in National league division 2 South, and the mens first team have some good wins under their belt and with a bit more consistancy should be pushing themselves up the table in National league division 2 South. The remaings mens teams are settling down now as the large number of new players bed themselves in and find their level in the club. With much better availability so far this season we are in a much stronger position. On the ladies side the 1as are finding it tough going after promotion to East premier last year but have now got their first win and seem tio be adjusting after being on the wrong end of some narrow results. Results across the rest of the ladies section have been a bit indifferent, but we are sure that will change.

As the season draws to a close the club is going through a little bit of a resurgance. Them mens 1st team narrowly missed out on promotion to Harleston Magpies. The 2's have maintained their poistion in London League division 2 and culd finish mid table depending on their result on Saturday. The Senators where going great guns in division 3 but having to conceed a couple of games see's them finish 5th. Some would suggest they where just trying to avoid 4th place and the cup competition. The 4's have also survived in their league in a tough season and congratulations to Watty and Tyler for turning their season around. It looks like the 5's will narrowly miss out on promotion in their first season in the East. Another almost sucsess story is the citizens who also narrowly missed out on promotion but are in the division 8 cup competition agains HAC next weekend. The last possible sucess hangs in the balance this weekend where the Praetorians can become champions in their last league game. The Centurians won thier A division and are in third in Division B.

After an indifferent start o the season the ladies one's could finish 5th depending on results on Saturday, which would be a real turn around having had a difficult start to te season. The ladies 1as have finished a respectable 5th in East division 1 South. The ladies 2's have unfortunatley been relegated from 5 counties Premier diespite their hard work. Following on from thier promotion the Bodas finsihed 5th in division 2, with the ladies 3's finishing in 6th in division 3. The 4as under the guidance of new Captain Loiuse finished 7th.

The mens and Ladies dinners are coming up along with club day. Details can be found in the news section, as can details of our summer hockey activities.
