Welcome to St Albans Hockey Club Site!

Following the trials and tribulations of last year we are on the uppers again. The ladies first team are flying in National league division 2 South, and the mens first team have some good wins under their belt and with a bit more consistancy should be pushing themselves up the table in National league division 2 South. The remaings mens teams are settling down now as the large number of new players bed themselves in and find their level in the club. With much better availability so far this season we are in a much stronger position. On the ladies side the 1as are finding it tough going after promotion to East premier last year but have now got their first win and seem tio be adjusting after being on the wrong end of some narrow results. Results across the rest of the ladies section have been a bit indifferent, but we are sure that will change.

So another season draws to a close.

The men's and Ladies dinners went off well last weekend and well done to all who helped out with the organisation.

I'd also like to say what an honour it was to be awarded with the presidents Pot and a shame i couldnt be at the dinner to pick it up. Looking at thenames on the throphy there are some true St Albans Legends on there, so I'm not quite sure how a boy from Cheshunt snuck on there.

Also well done to Chris Parker on his Club Man of the year awrd, and Simon White from the Exiles as Top goal scorer with 44 goals. The other notable was the Citizens winning team of the year with 19 wins and 1 draw.

Summer league is almost starting again so let me or Ange know if you are interested.

Also we will be releasing details of the AGM as well so watch this space.
