3. Young Helpers

As we begin the start of the season, it's clearer than ever how much the club depends on volunteers - whether this is on the pitch, to help with coaching or setting out and clearing up, or off the pitch, helping sort out teas and refreshments.

Just to introduce myself, I'm Taza Mohammedbhai, and as well as coaching U16 boys and captaining the Men's 7s I'm also the Young Helpers Co-ordinator for the club. My role is to ensure that everyone who wants to contribute to their club’s community has the ability to do so, and they get the full benefit from this opportunity.

In order to enable this to happen, it would be really helpful if you could let me know about anyone who would like to contribute to the club. This might be part of a structured activity - such as the Duke of Edinburgh award - or just because your child would like to support coaches, develop their leadership skills, help their peers and be part of the club volunteer family. Historically this has been on-pitch support, but I'm also happy to help try and match other areas of interest such as helping with catering, contributing ideas to social media, video analysis of Performance Squad matches and more.

Please can you contact me directly if you or your child would like to contribute in this way and I'll then look to align this to the support needed and engage them in our structured approach for managing their contribution to the club.
