The aim of the Oaklands Wolves Hockey Academy is to offer ambitious young hockey players an opportunity to combine their studies with high level coaching, five days a week. The Academy was founded in 2018 by Simon Archer, with the full backing of Oaklands College and in partnership with St Albans HC. The campus offers the students two hybrid water Astro pitches and is the home for England Hockey's Futures Cup.

If you're interested in playing hockey whilst in full time education (studying for A levels, Foundation Degree courses, BTEC or ESOL) then Oaklands College might have a lot to offer you - including residential accommodation on the campus.

The current Oaklands Wolves Hockey Academy students are good club players (e.g. from County standard up to Junior Internationals; previously an ESOL student who is an U18 Germany player). However this is by no means a criteria for attending the course, as at Oaklands students can participate in any chosen sport.

For further information, please contact Simon Archer (information below). He would be more than pleased to welcome students and parents to the Academy or invite them to attend open days.
