Thunder and Lightning

• After the last thunder and lightning event, wait at least 30 minutes before resuming training or playing
• Seek shelter inside the clubhouse or a car keeping away from, and getting out of wide, open spaces, do not shelter beneath tall or isolated trees

Frozen Pitches

• You should assume that training and matches are going ahead unless you hear otherwise
• If the forecast is set to be below 2°C for 24 hours before training or match - cancellation will be the night before
• Training - inspections will take place and a decision made 1 hour before the start times
• Forecast for potentially freezing temperatures overnight. Oaklands Sports Zone will carry out an inspection on Saturday at 8.10am and notify the club. Further inspections will be undertaken by SAHC from 9.00am
• Sunday training - inspections will take place and a decision made 1 hour before the start times
• Please be extra diligent about leaving goals, equipment, pitch dividers out on the pitches as these cause those areas to remain frozen

Communication

• You should assume that training and matches are going ahead unless you hear otherwise
• Messages will go out to Captains and relevant club officials to cascade down to players
• Fixtures Secretaries or Captains will communicate the outcome to the opposition teams
