L5's - A deluge in more ways than one!

What a day! We knew from the start that Hertford were going to be a tough team to crack. In fact, the pattern that seems to be emerging is that we have the lion's share of the play and then the opponents score! The Hertford GK made numerous saves to keep them in the game.Fortunately persistence pays and we found a well deserved equaliser 10 minutes before half time, a great goal and a well needed goal from Nikki. Relax.
Half time, re group. I cannot remember what Andre said at half time but it worked. The team stayed patient and kept the ball moving from side to side with some excellent transfers. In a golden 21 minute spell and to match the weather, it rained in a further 4 goals to kill off any chance that Hertford had of staying in the game, it could have been more. Another goal from Nikki changed the atmosphere as St Albans went ahead 2-1, this was quickly followed by goals from Dominique, Megan and Mieke. Job done, 5-1 and top of the table. All that was left to do after our team awards, was to get home for hot baths and showers.
