It’s with a heavy heart that we share with you today the saddening news..

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the very sad news that Bryn Owen passed away just before Christmas after a long battle with cancer. He was taken from his family and friends far too soon.

Bryn was a much loved, respected and important member of our Youth Section Coaching Team. He coached our U14 &U16 boys for many seasons. He was a role model and inspiration to all of our Juniors and could always be found on the pitch with a smile on his face. He will be very much missed by both the Youth Section and the whole of St Albans HC.

The celebration of Bryn's life will be on Thursday 16th January 2020 at 4pm at Bedford Crematorium, 104 Noise Road, Bedford, MK41 0RL with celebrations continuing afterwards at King William IV, 56 High Street, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 7AL.

It will be smart black attire and Bryn has requested for you to toast his life with a Jägermeister. He doesn't want flowers and is asking for donations to either Sue Rider St. John's which is the hospice he stayed at (where he spent his final day): https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/bryndavidowen or to Cancer Research UK: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/brynowenforcancerresearchuk?fbclid=IwAR20jN-6L7Ki-fqkIernOjkf0gtHup7f8g1tjZVpj5EhJzfVk2KoPj92EZw

Bryn, you will forever be in our hearts.
