We are looking to appoint a Catering Supervisor and Catering Assistants to cover weekend match teas and café services
September 17th 2021 to March 2022
Between 4 and 20 hours per week Friday – Sunday
Pay between £4.62 and £11 per hour depending on experience/role
Objective
Preparation and delivery of catering including match teas, café services and adhoc competitions/ social events. This includes food preparation, serving, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and tidy at all times.
Reporting To:
Catering Manager
Working Alongside:
Bar Manager, Club Captains, Team Captains, Performance Coaches, Head of Hockey
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure we run efficient and timely catering facilities for club members and guests
- Manage payment facilities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure the club house is set up and cleared up ready for guests
- Work closely with the bar manager and team to ensure members and guests receive a positive social experience when visiting the club house
- Supporting adhoc events as required
Supervisor
As above, plus:
- Supervise catering assistants to ensure they are proactive and provide excellent customer service
- Oversee food preparation and make sure services are delivered on time
- Work with the catering manager to develop catering services for the club
Skills and Qualities Required
- Understanding of food hygiene including allergy awareness
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Customer service attitude
- Availability to work during weekends of the hockey season
- Experience in catering/hospitality is desirable
- Certification in hospitality or culinary management is desirable
Supervisor
As above, plus:
- Availability on Fridays to prepare hot meals for the weekend ahead of service
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under stressful circumstances
- Hands-on experience of managing a team or service is desirable
