Fine Finishes and Fake Tan

After last week’s result the mighty 2s were eager to take what we have learnt and use it against close rivals, Wapping, this weekend. The main goal for the game was to hold our shape and show Wapping just how organised a side we are, and they were certainly shocked.

The first half started with great team play; Spidey and Lexi combined to create the first goal for St Albans (Lexi scored with a fine finish) after some lovely build up. Another goal came shortly after with a top of the D wallop from Chlo_wi at a short corner.

Leading 2-0 at half time, the super dupers knew it was to be a tough second 35 minutes. Hayley took a trip to A&E with a nasty gash, so there were fewer legs to keep up with a well-drilled and now more determined Wapping side. Despite some last ditch tackles and man of the match - Donna Coops - poking the ball away from forwards left right and centre, Wapping managed to sneak two goals past us. It was a great fight. Even a questionable ball to the knee situation hasn’t dampened our spirits and we will march on!
