Chief Executive - Phil Martin
St Albans Hockey Club is a broad-based club, open to all and appealing to all age groups and both genders. The club aims to continue to expand its playing base
It is understood that the status of the club is determined to a large extent by the level at which the first teams play. This status is reflected through all the teams in the club. The club aims to have both the ladies' and the men's first Xls playing at the highest levels of both indoor and outdoor hockey.
Coaching is paramount to the playing skills within the club. The club aims to have coaching available to all members/teams within the club.
Junior development is the lifeblood of the club as it is an investment in the club's future. The club aims to have a coordinated coaching structure for all age groups from under 7 to 18 years old. The club aims to have a defined process for the introduction of juniors into the adult sides as they get older.
We never lose the ability to have fun!
Hockey is also about the social interaction of people. The club aims to encourage social activity `among the members and to offer hospitality to visiting teams.
Playing, coaching, socializing and hospitality all require good facilities in which to flourish. The club aims to provide the appropriate facilities.
St Albans Hockey club is a large hockey club and as such is aware of its responsibility to be part of the community and to promote hockey as a sport The club aims to be an active contributor to the community and to be involved in the various local and regional sport and hockey development groups.
